Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions") carefully before using the AFK mobile application and website operated by Eqvilabs ("us", "we", or "our") located at https://afk.eqvilabs.com/ (the "Service").
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Description of Service
AFK is a digital wellness and friction-based application locker. The Service enables you to configure focus session timers, select distracting applications to block, and introduce intentional friction (such as bypass timers and virtual unlock tickets) before ending a focus session early.
In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
A. Billing & Google Play Processing
All financial transactions, consumable ticket packs, and auto-renewing subscriptions (AFK Premium) are billed and processed directly through Google Play Billing in accordance with Google Play's Terms of Service.
B. Subscription Auto-Renewal & Cancellation Grace Period
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled in Google Play at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle. When canceled, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the free tier.
C. Virtual Unlock Tickets (Consumables)
Unlock tickets are virtual utility tokens solely designed for in-app friction bypass. Unlock tickets have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and are non-transferable.
D. Restore Purchases
You can restore existing subscriptions anytime through the "Restore Purchases" button in the app settings, which securely synchronizes your entitlements with Google Play.
System Permissions & Accessibility
AFK requires the Android Accessibility Service API and Display Over Other Apps (`SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW`) permission solely to identify when user-selected blocked apps are launched during an active lock session. You may revoke these permissions at any time in device settings.
Important Safety & Emergency Disclaimer
Productivity Tool NoticeAFK is designed solely as a digital wellness and habit-building productivity tool. It is NOT a safety-critical life-support system or an emergency prevention override device. Essential communication functions (such as Phone Calls and Emergency Dialing) remain accessible. You agree never to rely on AFK in hazardous environments or life-threatening situations.
User Conduct & Acceptable Use
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or tamper with the local storage or cryptographic signatures of the application, nor attempt to distribute altered copies of the software.
Intellectual Property
All logos, branding, character illustrations, user interfaces, algorithms, and source code are the exclusive intellectual property of Eqvilabs and its licensors.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Eqvilabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Termination & Modifications
We reserve the right to revise or modify these Terms at any time. Material revisions will be posted with updated effective dates. Continued use of the Service constitutes agreement to the updated Terms.
