1. Overview & Commitment
AFK ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles your information. All app locking, session timers, and analytics processing occur entirely locally on your device.
♿ 2. Accessibility Service API Disclosure
AFK uses the Android Accessibility Service API solely to provide its core functionality: detecting when a user-selected blocked application is launched during an active focus session.
- Local Processing Only: Package name detection occurs 100% locally on your device.
- No Data Collection: We do NOT monitor, read, collect, store, or transmit your keystrokes, messages, personal content, or app activity.
- No Third-Party Sharing: Accessibility data is never uploaded to any remote server or shared with third parties.
3. System Permissions
To operate effectively as an app locker, AFK requests the following Android permissions:
- Display Over Other Apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Required to render the full-screen lock screen overlay when a blocked application is detected.
- Foreground Service: Used to maintain an accurate timer during active focus sessions.
4. Data Security
Because AFK operates on a local-first architecture, your focus statistics, ticket balances, and app blockage preferences are stored securely in local device storage (`SharedPreferences`). You retain full control over your data at all times.
